Update and maintain system images for store platforms including in-store servers, counters,
digital menu boards and
future platforms
Work with cyber security team on investigating potential security incidents. I would help
security go through systems to
determine if any unusual activity has taken place. This process would include going through
windows logs and
checking for programs or settings that wouldn’t normally be expected in our standard system
image
Reduce time taken to image devices and automating provisioning of systems after they have
been imaged (Windows & Linux)
Respond to tickets created by level 1 and level 2 help desks. This could include standard
troubleshooting
and diagnosing issues. This could also include making decisions on whether hardware should
be replaced depending
on the outcome of troubleshooting. If I could not figure out the issue, I would work with
other teams until issue was resolved
Use Azure to create a virtual test store. Terraform was used to automate the infrastructure
creation of the VMs and Virtual
Network and allowed for repeatability in creating more virtual stores
Create documentation for issues that were resolved from tickets as well as documentation
explaining the configuration of the
store systems
Work with multiple teams to solve small to large issues. Often worked with other teams even
when the issues was not
directly related to the store platform. This was important to make sure everyone had a full
understanding of the full
stack of technology used to make sure the stores functioned
Projects
Tasked with creating a process to upgrade 15,000+ Windows 7 systems to Windows 10 across all
of our stores remotely. Upon completion, this process saved the company roughly 3 million
dollars
Create a process to migrate stores from Windows to Linux. This process included creating
liunx images with CloneZilla and downloading the images to the store
server. The TinyPxE software would run on one system with the images and the others would be
PxE booted and launch an automated version of CloneZilla
